Tiggy's birthday, wahey!!!!! Happy birthday dude

Saw the new Billy Talent video for 'The Ex' it's good, really shows the energy and passion thats packed into every song on their album, but I feel that there are better tracks on the album to release as a single. I'm not sure but I think it's only on the Kerrang! playlist.

The wax that I use on my hair is serious stuff, shampoo doesn't really have much of an effect upon it, I still have wax in my hair that was there yesterday, which is pretty nasty in a way, but at least I can get the voluma in my hair that I so sorely need now that I've slept with it in. It's gettin cut tomorrow anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Last night when I went to the pub with Matt I had a beer called Landlord, which apparently is what Madonna drinks, so there you go.

Today I bought a new beanie (by Protest) and a rucksack (by Billabong).

On my walk today, to the top of a mountain (I say mountian, its only like 450m high) and whilst sat on the rocks at the top, taki the amazing panorama surrounding me it dawned upon me.

There simply has to be a follow up to the B-Movie.

but this time, it will be so much better, cos I'll know how to edit properly, we can get voices using Tigg's camera, and if we're really really nice to Soph she might let us borrow her digi cam.

It's gonna take quite a bit of work, but I think if we think about it this time we'll be able to make something really good, and whislt the original B-Movie will go down in history we can totally do better.

I don't really know what I wanna put in it, but I'm thinking more of a road trip style, this does mean that we'll need to actually go on road trips, but this shouldn't be a problem because.....

Have you ever noticed that whenever your with your friends, wherever you are, you can have a lot of fun, even without trying. I have thought about this for a good few minutes now and have come up with the following equation:-

Lots of footage = a good film

I think this works for the kind of film I wanna do, it doesn't necessarily have to be funny, it can be anything.

I know Tigg's already onboard and hopefully lots of you guys are too.

Oh, I saw Starsky & Hutch on Friday night, I liked it.

I'm back from London, I had a great time but it's nice to know I'll have my own slanted bed tonight, however comfy Neil's fold out bed is, I also don't have builders hitting things at 8 in the morning on a saturday for 4 hours then the same again on Sunday except they started at about 9:30.

I dunno why people always complain about train services, because my train down was perfectly on time, as was my train back, and I managed to go from central London to Kendal (Oxenholme) in three and a quarter hours, thats pretty damn fast guys.

I went to Wagamama for lunch yesterday, which in my opinion is a really london thing to do, cos it's like one of those places that cultured people go to to discuss the latest underground Icelandic film they've seen. Just so you know (which I know no one wants to) I had the Pork Char Siu Ramen, in hindsight I woulkd have gone for something a bit more saucy.

I got some snowboarding gloves and socks from this shop that had a two-storey ice-wall, yet I didn't get a beanie, so I'kll jsut make do with my one from H&M.

I got a bit philosophic on the train ride back today, I started to wonder about the amount of lives that the train went past and everything that we went past I started to think about how it affected so many lives around it, which was funny cos about 5 seconds after that a nuclear power station came into view, and lets be honest, where would we be without electricity, well to start with I wouldn't have had visitors from around the world (I think I've reached all the inhabited continents now).

I still haven't fixed the problem with the right sidebar, despite more research into it; one of these days I will become a HTML master, and no one will be that impressed.

Oh, I got 2 hits just for mentioning Stacey from the Black Eyed Peas, I think that Hey Mama video might have something to do with it. On the subject of hits I seem to be doing very well at the moment, having reached 209 in my counter category and 4400ish on the out of all the sites on my counters list, that out of a total of around 130,000 sites, I think deserve the right to feel proud of myself (ego warning).

I just spent the past hour tryng to fix the crushing problem with the right sidebar, which s annoying me now because as far as I know its the only major problem with the blog, its just so annoying, I've done everything I've been told and the code looks clean. Dammit blog, work!!!!

I've done very little over the past couple of days excpet read out numbers to help mum with the accounts.

It was cool last night, I went to the Brit and had a couple of pints with Matt, and then we walked back and even though it was like 11 I could still see the road, woulda been hella scary on my own though. Anyway, so many stars were out, just peeping through the thin sparse cloud cover, really makes me appreciate living in a valley instead of with basically no lights sources.

I've decided not to bother with writing up the story of my walk cos, it doesn't seem that newsworthy anymore, to put it in a nutshell I climbed a mountain that I looked at last year and thought I would never be able to climb and when I did there was quite a sense of achievement.

I was reading some other blogs and apparently just talking about your day is in fact not that interesting, so I'm not gonna talk about how we went out last night, had loads of fun and saw people I ain't seen for ages.

I went on a walk today, it's a bit of an epic tale and I took pictures during my hike but I can't find the cable for connecting the camera to the computer, which is odd because I thought I left it here anyway. I haven't really done much else today except have a really, really nice roast beef dinner.

I'm home guys, the foods good, the baths huge, the TVs huge but the alarm keeps going off and I'm scared that someones trying to rob us so I'm sleeping with my big ass MagLite tonight, I'm pretty sure I could kill someone with that thing if I had the attitude for it. I genuinely was scared though, so mcuh so that I went outside, and when I was gonna go into the workshop I actually thought "this could be dangerous" it was just this weird feeling I got, as if something was wrong, so I drove out the drive and down the road behind the house a bit to see if there were any lights on in the workshop, but I didn't know if Dad left any on so that meant nothing. And here I was thinking I'd be able to sleep better at home.

Remember how I mentioned about how I don't really know that many people (though when I was talking to greeny he thought that 40 was quite a few) , well last night I went out and met several new people.

Richard and I were going out for Rob's birthday as mentioned yesterday and I met 3 of Rob's friends in Nomad (a cool but very empty bar) and then I met 4 more people in the Fan Club, two of which are in some of my lectures so thats more people I know, which is nice. I think one of the girls might like me as well, but I can't be sure, because you never can when your drunk though the signs were encoruaging but if she did like me then I pretty much made an ass of myself cos she said "do you wanna dance" which I took as the whole group of us, but if that was the case why would she asked the guy she only met two hours ago, and we talked for like half an hour in Nomad after she came over to me. The more I write her the more likely it seems that she in fact did like me and I'm just really dumb when it comes to this kind of thing. I'm sure I'll see her out again since we mix in the same circles and go to the same places.

I've been feeling very *tired* today but i still made it into my 9:30 tutorial despite going to bed at 3, thats some hardcore Bone right there.

I think I might come back tomorrow, it just depends on how my day is going and how busy I am, but I can't really be bothered getting caught up on the M6 Friday traffic cos thats just a hassle, and I was basically traffic-free when I went back on a Thursday last time.

So my next post may be from Cumbria, which is a bit unfortunate since I've started downloading music and videos from the computers here at Manor Croft (they're attached to the main uni network so I get broadband awesomeness).

went out last night for Matt's birthday, but I came back early cos I didn't feel like going to Zanzibar. So despite getting home before midnight I ended up getting to sleep at 5AM I can't wait to get home and be in my comfy bed.

Going out again tonight, for a guy called Rob's birthday, he's not the one from my house but I know him pretty well even though I only know him through Richard.

I was gonna put up some pictures of my Hall Ball but I lent Duncan my USB pen so that he could bring his essay to uni, and thats more important than a few pictures so you'll have to wait till tomorrow when I have my free afternoon and go up to Manor Croft to download some movies from FilmWatcher.

I spent £65 on books today, I'm gonna of cleared out my account by the time I get home, oh well.

I bought a Kinks album yesterday, Preservation Act 1, its like a compilation of their good stuff, it was only a fiver, so I'm happy.

Me and Richard went into this posh spirits shop yesterday and the owner was really condescending to us just because we were students, like I asked him if he had any port glasses (cos Richard has some nice port and we want to look classy) and he repeated my question with an emphasis on the words that you say in a posh southern way as if to say that people from the North aren't allowed to have enough money to spend on glass. This leaves me in a bind, there was some strawberry schnapps there that I wanted to get, but do I really want to buy it off this dick, or would it be a victory for me to prove to him that students appreciate quality. That really pissed me off that I was judged just for being young.

Iwent to a really nice Chinese yesterday in town, it was the kind of place that was posh and yuppyish at night, but did a £5.50 deal for lunch, which is semi-student friendly, though the guys in the house thought it was odd that I was willing to pay £10 just for lunch.

As I have said many, many times before, I'm not a typical student.

It's for the Hunger Site, its a website where all you have to do is click on the button and the sponsoring companies will give money to charities, who will in turn use that money to buy food for starving people. You don't have to register, or even give your e-mail address. You can click once a day and there are little tabs at the top showing the other sections of the site, which if memory serves, are the same thing but for:

free mammograms (these are expensive so 4 million clicks only gets 100 mammograms, so its important that you click)

saving the rainforest (at the moment they are managing to buy an incredible 1 million square feet of forest per day)

child health (they helped more than 500,000 children last year)

animal rescue (providing over 500,000kg of food per month to animal shelters)

It probably took me less than a minute to click on all five sites, and whilst there is a lot of advertising, its not like you're forced to buy anything, so I think it isn't too much effort when you consider what you can do.

Ok, since I don't really do anything I end up having to think about things, so here's todays though.

Why do people seem to talk about Karma as if its this scientifically proven thing?

Like on TV (and more annoyingly in everyday life) if something bad happens (like you spill a pint) then someone, usually a girl, goes "well thats Karma for you", but it isn't, do you even believe in the religion Karma is a part of? (buddhism?) is there any possibly way to prove that Karma exists, or is it that people have confused the words coincidence and Karma.

Fair enough if you actually believe in it to its full extent, and have actually read/been taught about it, then I can accept that, but please for the love of God (see what I did there?) don't just casually drop into a conversation as an explanation of something which was an accident.

Just made a couple of tiny changes to the layout, so I have changed the number to version 2.2, some of you may have noticed that I skipped v2.1 but technically I had done that version and simply not updated the number..... as if you care, it's all about the content!!!

Just had a tutorial for my Europe module, and despite not having the sheets for a week (like the rest of the class) and just wlking in with the knowledge I had from previous lectures, there was still only me and Dave willing to give answers to questions and make points. It's a total joke, why bother even turning up if you aren't willing to get involved in the discussion. Sure I got a couple of things wrong, but its not like it matters, cos I covered up the mistakes with some interesting points.

I seem to be making up theories in tutorials and getting credit, which is cool, because I made up a rather idealistic middle east peace process domino effect theory, when I just kept talking till I was stopped, and the teacher was all like "thats very interesting, so you believe that peace and non-aggression in middle east states will spread due to there being no need for other states to be aggressive towards a country that just wants peace" so she like totally stole my theory. Before anyone gets angry/confused I know its totally unworkable in the current political climate, or any climate until I am President of the world and tell those Israelis and Palestinians to go down the pub and sort it out over a pint. Can Palestinians drink alcohol? Does their religion forbid it? I don't think it does, but if it does then maybe thats the problem that they're all pent up and relax, which reminds me, I simply must open a strip club on the Gaza Strip, it would solve everything. Maybe it Jewish people were allowed to put cheese on everything and grill it (like I do) then they too would be happier and willing to settle for peace.

How could I talk about the Middle-East for that long, and manage to be just that ridiculous, I should probably watch out for Hamas dudes knocking at the door, or Israeli tanks for that matter (just so you don't think I'm siding with one or the other, I haven't decided yet).

Frankly guys I've done nothing of note of the past 24 hours so I'm just gonna have to free-form it today, writing about what comes to mind.

I bought the new Drive-Thru records boxset of rare CDs yesterday, its pretty good, especially the one by the Benjamins, who've broke up now but their CD is excellent.

I also bought True Romance on DVD because it was on special offer, haven't watched it yet though, probably gonna tonight.

I've been looking at work-experience and internships for the summer, but all the comapnies i'm interested in are only taking people in the final and penultiamte year of their degrees. My thinking is that if I do a couple of weeks with a few different types of companies then maybe I'll be able to decide what I want as a career, since I don't know at the moment, which is why I'm doing History/Politics.

On the subject of jobs and my degree we had a guest speaker in a lecture today who was an Israeli Ambassador, and I thought it would be really cool to be an Ambassador/delegate type person, but then again I'm not very good at persuading people to do things so I might not be very good at it.

I've also started looking at things at uni in the light that they may help me further on in life, like I'm tempted to run for election as a rep next year, cos it looks good on the CV and I've been helping Paz run his election campaign (VOTE PAZ!!! HE'LL GIVE 110%) and it seems like a good way to network (since when did I think networking was important?).

I'm also thinking of joining the academia society at some point, cos it makes you look like some kind of genius, I would join one of the political societies but there isn't a society for people who think "They just need to talk it through". Joining the film society probably isn't all that noteworthy when it comes to CVs.

The blog must be feeling really unattended with all the partial posts and gaps I've been leaving lately and unfortunately this will be a short one too, I'm meant to meet Richard so we can go into town for lunch.

Just thought I'd pop in to say that I'm doing fine, and I went to the Last Night At The Leicester Proms on saturday, it was cool, I waved a flag, sang out of key, with the wrong notes, and sometimes even the wrong words, but a good time was had by all.

Bad news folks, feel worse today, I guess the ibuprofen was just really good, but I woke up today feeling bad, but I thought I'd better come in for my lectures today, but I feel pretty crappy.

They didn't have any of the books for the question I wanted to do for my essay, and for once it isn't my fault, I usually get my books on the monday, but because I was ill, really ill for me, I didn't manage it and now I have to do some loser question about a loser subject like British Welfare Reform.

And I feel bad cos I told Tigg I'd go see him tonight, but I don't feel up to a night of drinking tonight.

On the plus side, at he weekend mum and dad gave me this big box of small change to put in this machine at Tesco's and then you get a voucher so that you can use it to pay for your shopping then you get proper cash back, so 2p's and 1p's are actually of use for once. And in this box they gave me was.... wait for it.....

£70!!!!!

How amazing is that, there was 422 5p coins like 900 pennies and another 500 2p's there was also a load of 10p's and 20p's but I can't remember how many of them there were, and there was loads of foreign change iun this box, including an Irish coin with a Salmon on it, and a Greek one with this funny owl. I did the mature thing and bought a crate of beer with my new 'free' money.

I haven't done anything else except lie in bed, which doesn't exactly give the opportunity for funny stories, though I did buy a DVD called Slackers and watched that, its not bad, just an average teenage rom-com.

I think I might go and get lunch now, the rush has probably finished by now.

I know its been over a week since I've updated so I apologise for that but I've been really ill, and I've missed all my lessons this week, and I have an essay in for next monday, so I have to catch up.

Its a flu type thing and I got all dizzy standing up, and I puked pure water cos I hadn't eaten for so long (35 hours!!!) cos my throat was so sore. I'm feeling a lot better now though, ahhh the wonders of modern medicine.

Quick update cos I need to go look at books then I promised Rob we'd get Chinese so I'll do a full update tomorrow in my mammoth 3 hour gap.
